All
the advantages associated with the Port of Bristol and the Avonmouth
Coal Terminal are available to other coal and bulk material importers
who wish to use our coal handling facilities, of discharge, ships'
agency, washing, cracking, screening, blending, storage and reloading
to road, rail or sea can all be organised with minimum fuss and maximum
efficiency through just one contact within our company. We regularly
undertake contract processing work, and can count amongst our clients
today some of the foremost names in UK coal import and distribution
as well as industrial end users. Our Coal Trading Division can also
assist in placement of customers' products in the domestic and industrial
inland and export markets.

Our
Redruth coal import facility in Cornwall is fully equipped and available
to receive, store and process coal on behalf of other importers or
distributors. The same attention to detail and quality that exists
at Avonmouth is applied equally at Redruth. The facility has a 3-acre
(1.2 hectare) double reinforced concrete base and is surrounded by
a perimeter of concrete retaining wall units. Further wall units within
the terminal provide individual bays ensuring integrity of product.
Cargoes of up to 7,500 mt tonnes can be received at the nearby port
of Falmouth and the Redruth Coal Terminal is suitable for any pre-washed
products that require storage and intensive screening into sizes or
just re-screening into vehicle on despatch. The site is equipped with
modem screens, open bag hoppers, pre-pack facilities and a 50 tonne
weighbridge, all at the disposal of contract processing customers.

CMR
(Retail) Ltd has joined forces with Fergusson Coal to bring a new
coal distribution service to the centre of the country. The joint
company, BFC (Bennett Fergusson Coal Ltd) have purchased the Grassmoor
Coal Depot at North Wingfield Road near Chesterfield and are providing
a complete coal preparation, storage and delivery service from this
site. The facilities at the Grassmoor Coal Terminal include specialised
equipment to screen and prepare the coal products to the exacting
standards demanded by both domestic consumers and industrial users.
