The Coal Trading Division, operated by E.H.Bennett & Co. Ltd., is responsible for all coal procurement, marketing and selling activities and utilises the experience and knowledge gained through being a high volume buyer of overseas and indigenous coals for over thirty years.

All of the Groups Coal, Coke & Biomass trading activities are conducted through the trading division. A seperate dedicated sales team exists for the sale of our products to each market sector, comprising professionals who are experienced and specialist within their own industry sector.

We engage a Wholesale Team (Evans & Reid (Solid Fuels Distribution) Ltd) for the sale of domestic solid fuels to the UK coal merchant trade, an Industrial Sales Team (CMR (Industrial) Ltd) for the sale of industrial grade fuels, cokes and biomass to British industry, and an International Trading Team (E.H.Bennett & Co.Ltd) for the supply of cargoes of coal, coke and Biomass throughout Europe.

E.H.Bennett & Co.Ltd. employs its own qualified chartered shipbrokers to ensure direct and personal attention to all the Group's shipping requirements. Our sales personnel are all experienced professionals, including qualified fuel technologists, with many years of hands-on experience in the industries in which they operate, ranging from the requirements of retail coal merchants to foundries, grass driers, brickworks, schools, hospitals, cement companies and the power generation industry
