It comprises some 16 coal yards in all, ranging in size from 1 to 20 acres, the Avonmouth depots alone exceed 26 acres. The Group's coal processing division operates from some 50 acres of concrete hard standing throughout the British Isles. The

The Group's administrative headquarters occupies some 6,000 sq. ft on two floors of a recently refurbished office building in High Street, Shirehampton, a suburban centre in the north Bristol fringe. With direct access to the M4/M5 Motorways the administrative centre also enjoys close proximity to the Group's main import/export facilities in Avonmouth Docks. Regional administrative offices are also located at Redruth, Chesterfield and Hove. The Group Estates Manager, a Chartered Surveyor, heads the Property Division based at Bristol. Charged with the responsibility of facilities management for the 20 properties comprising the Group's operational portfolio; the maintenance and management of the freehold and leasehold properties with annual rental commitment in excess of £600,000; project management and procurement of new building works; Landlord & Tenant matters, and Business Rates; the division is also responsible for compliance procedures with regard to Environmental and Health & Safety legislation. It offers Group companies professional property advice, undertakes valuations and surveys, and acts for the Group in negotiating new acquisitions and property disposals. Apart from providing a comprehensive range of property services to Group companies, the division manages and oversees the investment / development portfolio of CMR Estates Ltd, the Group's £2.96 million property investment vehicle, with an annual rent roll of c.£230,000. It is also retained by an in house client to manage a £1.66 million mixed secondary retail/residential portfolio, with an annual rental income of £160,000, yielding a net 9.6% p.a. CMR Estates maintains an institutional investment standard development programme. |
